“Jumonville is the greatest! I'd encourage each and every person in this world to sign up. It will be one of the best experiences of your life and the best I believe Christian experience. My Dean and counselors were the greatest people I ever met. Thay are the most caring and understanding people in this world.”

Family Camps

Enjoy camp with your entire family on the Jumonville mountaintop.
Some of the family summer camp options at Jumonville include:
Family Week is a traditional part of Jumonville's summer camping program. While some families have been coming for multiple generations, new familes attend every year. For 2012, Family week is July 21-28. Visit the Family Week website to find lots more additional information. Download the 2012 Family Week brochure.
Mommy/Daddy & Grandparent & Me Camps are a more recent Jumonville summer camping tradition. These events are typically 3 day events for parents and or grandparents and their younger campers. There are a great introduction to summer camp and participants stay in the nicest lodging facilites that Jumonville has to offer. View the summer camp schedule to see the many options for 2012.
CAT Camp is an acronym for Creative Arts Things. This event is a multi-generation event that includes both individuals and familes. More info...
Joni & Friends Family Camp had its first year at Jumonville in 2010. This event is designed for those who have family members with special needs. The date for Joni & Friends 2012 is July 30th - August 3rd. The staff arrive several days before that to prepare for the event. Help us spread the word of this new ministry partnership between Jumonville and Joni and Friends. Joni & Friends has its own website. Visit their website to find lots more additional information.
Family Autism Weekend August 24-26 is the date for our second annual Family Autism Weekend. Jumonville’s first Autism Family Retreat Weekend was held in 2011. With Rev. Dr. Edward Saxman leading ten helpers, this retreat drew nine families to the mountain.
Rev. Saxman was inspired to start this retreat program by his two nephews with Autism and saw a need to develop a community of faith where all of the children are welcome to come to Jesus just as they are. This two-day retreat is an opportunity for Christians in the Western Pennsylvania to collaborate and celebrate their children and their faith in a family-friendly environment. With a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Educators, and Clergy staffing the retreat, parents are given resources to learn more about Autism and develop strategies to help their children as well as the peace of mind that their children would be with professionals while they were away.
